Offering space for nature retreats, cabins, weekend getaways, workshop space, and lodging in southern Ohio, near Cincinnati and Columbus. Highlands Nature Sanctuary is an excellent place for yoga retreats and other group gatherings. We have some of the most beautiful lodges in Ohio.

Lodging at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary closes for the winter on November 15th. We will re-open for the spring season in March, 2012. However, reservations for 2012 are currently being accepted.

Hermitage Cabin
1-2 people

Two private suites overlook the Rocky Fork Gorge at this stunning and remote cabin, a perfect space for singles or couples looking for a quiet retreat into nature.

Leatherwood Cabin

A lovely wood-paneled two bedroom cabin perched on a ledge above the Rocky Fork Creek. Leatherwood is an excellent space for couples or small families.

Beechcliff Group Lodge

A beautiful restored hunting lodge from the early 1900's, Beechcliff is a group lodge with unique ambiance nestled in a memorable forest setting.

Ravenwood Retreat Center

Up to 10 people

Light-filled Ravenwood is a spacious workshop and retreat center on the western side of the Nature Sanctuary. Ample space indoors and out.

Larger Group Retreats with Full Meal Service

Hope Springs specializes in healthy, memorable home-made meals and has outstanding facilities for groups of 12-30 people. Managed by Hope Springs Institute, a "sister" organization of the Arc of Appalachia Preserve System located in the Arc of Appalachia region, approximately 40 minute drive from the Highlands Nature Sanctuary. Secluded in a 250-acre forest and situated in the highly rural setting of Adams County in southern Ohio. Highly recommended as a workshop space.
