Barrett’s Millhouse

Barrett’s Millhouse is a fully remodeled turn-of-the-century lodge with six bedrooms. This historic farmhouse has been carefully restored to its original, handsome, utilitarian ambiance, reminiscent of a residence built between 1876 and 1910. Every room is thoughtfully appointed with antiques, offering guests a unique opportunity to not just tour, but live in a fully restored 19th-century home nestled within a protected nature preserve. Attention to detail is evident throughout, from the antique dishes and lighting fixtures to the furniture—and in some closets, you may even discover authentic Victorian clothing. While the home does include modern conveniences, such as a hidden microwave, the overall experience evokes a genuine trip back in time.

The lodge accommodates up to 12 guests at full capacity, or up to 4 guests if only the first floor is rented. Barrett’s Millhouse features a spacious living room, dining area, and full kitchen. It is conveniently located just down the road from two spectacular hiking trails, Barrett’s Rim and Roundtop.
