Overview

Back again for 2026! The Arc will be offering a kid-friendly version of the Wildflower Pilgrimage for youth ages 6-12 years old and their families. The day will begin at 10:00 am with a presentation at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary, followed by a walk around the pond to explore beaver activity. After the hike, we will return for a bring-your-own picnic lunch, followed by a story about Beavers. Our day will end after lunch, and as a reminder, an adult guardian must accompany children throughout the entire program. We will also provide you with nearby hiking trails if you’d like to explore a bit more once our program is completed.

Cancellation Policy for Event Registration: In case of cancellation, refunds will be granted in full up through April 1, 2026. After that time, all payments are final and, if not used, will be recorded as a tax-deductible donation to the Arc of Appalachia. Registrations are transferable. If you are transferring your registration to another party, please be sure to provide us with your recipient’s name and email.
